"The Toy Soldier" is a simple stop motion animation that was created for my ART 116 Intro to Digital Media (Spring 2024) class. For this project I wanted to do a sort of “Toy Story” esque narrative where a toy comes to life. I think this choice of stop motion with toys will give me the most flexibility with the story I want to tell. I felt that a silent film will be an interesting way to tell the story because you have to get the timing for everything just right so the dialogue cards fit in the right spots. I made this project using Stop Motion Studio because it has all the tools I need and is simple to understand.
