Artist Bio:
Residing in Tempe, Arizona, Chase Kelln is a filmmaker specializing in editing, with a focus on short films and social media content. Originally from Sacramento, California, he is pursuing a BFA in Film And Media Production at Arizona State University after two years at Folsom Lake College. His creative journey began in high school, where he honed his skills in filmmaking through various self-taught endeavors.
Chase's primary mediums include video, audio, and photo, and is deeply passionate about editing. Notably, he co-founded a successful YouTube channel, Halos In The Infield, boasting over 900 subscribers, where his contributions helped shape the channel's creative identity for the two years he was there.
Throughout his career, he has sought out and embraced opportunities for growth and collaboration, although is strong in his independent work. He is driven by a desire to bring stories to life through visual storytelling, continuously seeking inspiration and innovation in his craft.
Artist Statement:
Chase Kelln is a determined filmmaker who works primarily with video, audio, and photo.
My work explores many themes that are determined by the needs of each project. I am known for my video editing, which often incorporates a good helping of special effects, audio editing, and the occasional camera trick. Through my art, I aim to create a career for myself in which I can contribute to a team working towards a greater goal.
Drawing inspiration from movies, video games, and T.V., I navigate the creative process with an emphasis on being spontaneous. My work often reflects how I am feeling at the time, inviting viewers to see the lengths to which my imagination can stretch.
I am currently pursuing a BFA at Arizona State University for Film and Media Production, furthering my exploration of filmmaking. As an artist, I am committed to bettering myself with each project and seek to find a job in film or television where I can let my creative visions roam free.
